Classic Equine Smooth Bar O-Ring Snaffle
The O Ring Snaffle is a must for any horseman's toolbox. It is the most commonly used piece of equipment by trainers of all disciplines, for everything from starting colts to softening older performance horses. Use it to introduce a horse to a bit for the first time, teach a horse to follow his nose, lateral flexion exercises and drills, establish proper headset or soften older horses. The O Ring has a weighted feel for greater sensation during the pickup and release of pressure. The mouthpiece is inlaid with copper to stimulate salivation. The mouthpiece is 5-1/8 inch wide, 3/8 inch in diameter, and curved to shape to the corner of the mouth for soft, evenly distributed pressure to the bars, tongue, and corners of the mouth. The Snaffle is the softest of all shank bit styles. Transition bit for colts moving up from the O Ring. Soft pressure is applied through the curb.
